Bittern Line Community Rail Partnership – Station Adopter

Name of Organisation: Bittern Line Community Rail Partnership

The aim and activities of organisation:  Providing a voice for the community. Promoting sustainable, healthy and accessible travel. Bringing communities together. Supporting social and economic development.

Volunteer Role Title: Station Adopter

Role description: Making the adopted station a presentable and welcoming place to take a train.

Minimum time commitment & flexibility: Twice a month.

Specific skills or experience required: Enthusiasm for the local station. Fitness to work. It is helpful to be creative and open minded with a bit of resilience. A DBS is arranged through the train operating company.

One off volunteer taster/ drop-ins available: Look at Greater Anglia website under station adoption.

Training offered and skills development potential: Safety briefing. Adopters guide.
